Story After years of war between vampires and humans whom the Priests defended, all the vampires have been wiped out and the Priests number dissolved. One of these Priests (Bettany) and his team still search for any chances there could still be any remaining vampires in the Siro Hive where his team is ambushed and some of them die at the hands of vampires. The vampires kidnap a young girl Lucy (Collins) and she is taken to Black Hat (Urban) one of Priests team who was kill or turned into the first human vampire.

Priest goes against the church lead by Monsignor Orelas (Plummer) in search of this girl,. On his journey he meets a young Sheriff Hicks (Gigandet) who also wants to locate the girl. Priestess (Maggie Q) is sent to bring back Priest but ends up teaming up with him to take out the vampires who have a plan to start a bigger war again, can Priest, Hicks and Priestess stop Black Hat and the vampires in time?

Verdict This graphic novel adaptation is a quick fun film with some nice fight scenes to keep things flowing. Visually it has the graphic novel look in this made up post apocalyptic world. The characters lack any development but make a presence on the screen to good effect. Having vampires in i was expecting more normal vampire figures instead they are a new species creature apart from Black Hat with half breeds.
Story Mark 6/10 The story has twists in adding something but it comes over a bit short about an hour and quarter to start any real engrossing storyline
Action Mark 9/10 Fight sequences are very good and the last train race sequence.
Special Effects Mark 8/10 Nice special effects used during action sequences

Star Performances Karl Urban he is a great villain

Favourite Character Black Hat doesn't takes prisoners and believes in a bigger plan

Least Favourite Character Hicks boring character that doesn't live up to any fighting ability he seems to think he has

Pay Check Performance Christopher Plummer really couldn't have found something else to do for a week?

Best Part The train sequences

Worst Part Short film

My Rating 64%
