Senna (2010)

Director: Asif Kapadia
Writer: Manish Pandey
Starring: Ayrton Senna

Story: A Documentary on Brazilian Formula One racing driver Ayrton Senna, Who won the F1 world championship tree times before his death at age 34.

Story: When people think biographical stories are told we usually get an actor playing the star, in this we don’t we get all archive footage cleverly woven together to tell the story of Senna. The story includes his incredible performance in his first Monte Carlo grand prix, to his rivalry with Alain Prost right up to his tragic death. (9/10)

Director: Putting all the pieces together to show Senna life is done perfectly top stuff from the director (9/10)

Action: Even if you know what happens the races are exciting to watch show how good the sport can be. (9/10)

Music: When the races start or an incident has happened the background music through out the film is very well used. (8/10)

Suggestion: To all fans of sporting great you really have to watch this film, completely different to any biographic film you would have seen this show the real true story of one of the greatest Formula one drivers of all time  (10/10)

Best Part: The freshness of how the story is told

.

Worst Part: I would have to say it’s not too much about the film but after watching I feel it is scary how similar Lewis Hamilton’s early career has been to Senna’s.

Overall: As a fan of Formula one I only knew the end of the Senna Story. This film shows how good this man was and seeing how his mind worked seeing his new aggressive driving started the new generation of drivers. One of the best if not the best biographic story I have seen.
