Years have past sine Ridley Scott bought us one of the greatest horror films ever made in Alien, we have seen three sequels which all have their good sides along with two pretty awful compared to the originals franchise versus films with Predator.
After scientists Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and Charlie Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green) discover ancient cave painting that match up to a distant star system wealthy Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce) sends a team to investigate what is a new group of planets. Meredith Vickers (Charlize Theron) is in charge of what goes on in the mission, while Captain Janek (Idris Elba) is the trusted pilot. the trademark android is the brilliant David (Michael Fassbender).
The mission is to discover where we came from does this distant planet hold the answer?
We are told this is the same universe as the Alien films and also set before those films but isn't a prequel. Scott brings back his ability to build tension and with this ability he brings out something very special it has the same opening feel to his Alien film but looking for answers to a different question.
The whole cast give great performances, the story take aspects from many science fiction films to create a new top original story. With the two big superhero films out this year this one almost got overlooked simple it shouldn't it will be remembered for years and will have all the Alien and Ridley Scott fans having endless conversations about where this film stands in the best list
