Title -  Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

Year of release - 2013

Genre - Action/Fantasy

Length - 1 hour 28 mins

Rating - 15

Director - Tommy Wirkola

Writer(s) - Tommy Wirkola

Who is in it? - Jeremy Renner as Hansel, Gemma Arterton as Gretel, Famke Jannsen as Muriel, Pihla Viitala as Mina and Derek Mears as Edward to name a few.

What's it about? - Witches, someone needs to hunt them down and stop them from casting spells and throwing at curses right? Well, yep! In step Hansel and Gretel the brother and sister tag team witch hunters. Where there is a witch, these two will be there to stop it. From a young age after being left to fend for themselves by their father, Hansel and Gretel are taken by an evil witch but manage to escape by killing it. From then on they became the duo they are today. Children start to go missing from a small village and Hansel and Gretel are called upon to find them and rescue them. They stop Mina from being burned accused of witchcraft, later to discover she is actually a witch, but a good witch. Hunting for the children the pair are introduced to the dark witch Muriel who has a plan to use these children as ingredients to create a coven of super witches immune to fire. It's down to Hansel and Gretel with a little help from Mina to stop Muriel.

Is it any good? - Most critics did not rate this film very highly and I feel that is only because it does not really follow the original story of Hansel and Gretel. To me that does not matter, the story line in the film was really good and there is plenty of action and suspense to keep you going. This film was to break the norm of the story and it does just that perfectly.

Why should I watch it? - Gemma Arterton is in it, is that not enough to watch it?? Or for the ladies, James Renner!!

How do you rate it overall? - 8/10
