Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014)


The winner of the SofaWatch 2014 Movie Awards 2014 Visual Effects went to the outstanding Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

Who is in it? - Andy Serkis as Caesar, Jason Clarke as Malcolm, Gary Oldman as Dreyfus, Keri Russell as Ellie and Toby Kebbell as Koba to name just a few.
What's it all about? - 10 years have passed since the happenings of Rise of the Planet of the Apes and the apes are sitting happy and content knowing that the human race is no longer occupying the planet earth. However their world changes when a surviving group of humans encounter the apes inside of a forest. The apes led by Caesar (Serks) do all they can to make peace but only if the humans follow the rules of the apes. Unknown to the others the ape Koba (Kebbell) plots and attempts to murder the human group, unfortunately this act causes a huge army of human survivors to surface and war breaks out. Will peace prevail, will it be the humans or the apes.

Is it any good? - This is a pretty awesome film with plenty of action and a perfect storyline.

Why should I watch it? - If you have watched the previous Planet of the Apes films then this chapter of the story is a must watch for you.
