Keira Knightley (The Imitation Game)

The winner of the 2014 SofaWatch Movie Awards Supporting Actress went to the outstanding Keira Knightley for her performance in The Imitation Game.

In the film Keira plays the character of Joan Clarke. The following description of this character is taken from iMDB.

The real Joan Clarke was born May 5th, 1917 in London. She was a mathematician who worked as a cryptanalist at Bletchley Park in World War 2. She appears in Christopher Sykes 'The Strange Life and Death of Dr Turing' (1992). Joan Clarke died in 1996.

Keira has played numerous supporting and lead roles in a variety of films such as -

Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of The Caribbean

Anna Karenina in Anna Karenina

Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice

Guinevere in King Arthur

Juliet in Love Actually

Hopefully we will see Keira grace our screens for a long time to come. It would be great to see a revival of Elizabeth Swann in a future Pirates of The Caribbean.
